Press releases and news
The ENEA “Frascati Neutron Generator” (FNG) neutron generator, one of few in the world available for fusion research and other application sectors including aerospace, automotive, physics and particle detectors, turns 30.
ENEA has developed an innovative technique based on laser Raman spectroscopy for real-time detection of water contaminants, also at low concentrations. The tool, a portable laser device, was previously successfully used to detect air pollutants, which can also provide information on the chemical structure of water pollutants, thanks to the interaction of light with molecules. It’s a fast, easy, non-destructive technology and doesn’t require any sample preparation.
The house remains a refuge asset par excellence for Italian families and real estate investment is the safest option to keep citizens' savings safe. The data from the Fiaip National Real Estate Observatory report show for 2022 the highest level of home sales in over twenty years (+3.5% compared to 2021, equal to 775 thousand total transactions). Market values were substantially stationary, except for increases in large urban centers (+5/10%), generated by a high demand and an increasingly reduced supply, both in sales and rentals. For non-residential use, on the other hand, a trend was recorded in sales (shops +0.5% offices -0.1% warehouses -0.3%) and in prices (shops +0.2%, offices +0 .1% and sheds -0.8%) similar to 2021.
ENEA and Fratello Sole, a non-profit consortium company active in energy efficiency interventions and services and the development of energy communities for non-profit organizations, renewed their partnership to combat energy poverty, particularly through support to the Third Sector and religious insitutions.
The ENEA program on energy efficiency "Italy in Class A" was selected by the European Commission as a partner of the New European Bauhaus, an initiative launched in 2021 by President Ursula von der Leyen to build a bridge between the the fight to climate change and art and culture.
ENEA, namely its Sustainability of Production and Territorial Systems Departement, has joined "Advanced Materials 2030” a European framework-initiative which aims at encouraging Europe to adopt a systemic approach towards innovative advanced materials, to meet the challenges and opportunities for society, the economy and the environment.
