Some coastal areas in Tuscany, Sardinia and Lazio already available.
ENEA has developed a new service to map coastal areas at risk of flooding due to climate change that combines high-resolution models, satellite technologies and field surveys.
More than 800 companies, 13,700 employees, over 13 billion in turnover estimated in 2022 and a market that is recording growth on various variables testifying to a resilient, dynamic and strategic sector for the development of the country.
This is what emerges from the economic update of the ENEA-Assobiotec report Biotechnology companies in Italy, now in its 8th edition, presented in an online event.
Hygh-yeld solar cells with innovative materials for sustainable and efficient photovoltaic modules have been made within the program “Research of an electrical system – High efficiency photovoltaic integrated project”, conducted by ENEA in collaboration with Cnr, Rse and some universities. The cells will have to be integrated in urban environments, landscapes and sites of historical-architectural interest to reduce electricity cost and land use.
Technical fabrics and recyclable materials resistant to time, high temperatures and fire for the automotive, aerospace, construction, energy and nautical sectors are the next generation materials presented by ENEA at the "JEC Forum Italy 2023" in Bologna, the first edition of the event dedicated to composites organized by the JEC Group in collaboration with Assocompositi.
ENEA and the Italian Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC) have signed an agreement to decarbonise air transport, with a particular focus on hydrogen as energy vector of the future for the air transport system.
Promoting the creation of an integrated network of services to support property renovations along the entire energy requalification chain is the objective of the European project EUPeers, funded with approximately 2.4 million euro from the LIFE 2022 tender comprising 11 partners from 8 EU countries, including ENEA and the Piedmont Region for Italy.
