ENEA researchers have developed a method to identify pure extra virgin olive oil through the traceability of the geographical origin of the olives based on the content of elements. The outcomes of the study were published in the open source journal ‘foods’.
An ENEA research team has developed a new approach to determine the propagation area and intensity of debris flows, a particular type of highly destructive fast landslides and is testing new methods to assess their trigger thresholds based on the water content of overburden.

ENEA will create an advanced virtual laboratory to exploit the full potential of supercomputing and artificial intelligence for advanced materials research applied to renewable energy plants, as part of the European project IEMAP[1], funded with 4.5 million euro by the MASE as part of the international cooperation initiative Mission Innovation.
Giorgio Graditi, 53, was appointed director general of ENEA following a public selection procedure, ratified by the Board of Directors (BoD) of the Agency, to be followed by administrative procedures.
