Gender equality: Women occupy three out of four leading position of research departments in ENEA

With the appointment of Claudia Brunori, new director of the Sustainability, Circularity and Adaptation to Climate change of Productive and Territorial Systems Department, the percentage of females in leadership positions in ENEA increased to 40% and the percentage at the top of the research departments to 75% (three out of four).

Brunori, born in 1970, graduated in chemistry at Sapienza University of Rome, specialized in technologies and tools for the circular economy, takes over from Roberto Morabito who left for reaching age limits after leading the Department for the last 10 years. Until now, Brunori has been director of the Efficient Use of Resources and Closing of Cycles Division and deputy director of the Circular Economy Department.

She is the author of several scientific publications and a member of organisations, associations and institutional tables.

The Sustainability Department, organized in six Divisions, four technical-scientific Sections and two Administrative Services, counts 540 researchers and technicians.
