An innovative transportation system to manage heavy vehicles safety on roads, motorways, bridges and viaducts was developed and tested at the ENEA Trisaia Research Center (Matera), as part of the project SENTINEL. Coordinated by ENEA, jointly with the Consortium TRAIN, it allows to identify in real time overloaded vehicles, finding alternative routes to avoid dangerous situations.

ENEA is ready to share its technologies, knowledge and infrastructures to contribute to a new Italian space challenge and seize the opportunities for growth, progress and well-being that can stem from it, stimulating new ideas, knowledge and discoveries, as stated by ENEA President Gilberto Dialuce at the National Space Day celebrated last December 16.

11 February is the deadline for the call for papers for the World Conference on Photovoltaic Energy Conversion - WCPEC, the most prominent international photovoltaic conference to be held in Milan from 26 to 30 September 2022 and chaired by ENEA researcher Alessandra Scognamiglio.

'Air Quality Models Gateway' is the ENEA's platform on air quality in Italy. Developed at the "Atmospheric Pollution" and "Analysis and Protection of Critical Infrastructures" laboratories of ENEA, with the support of the Ministry of Ecological Transition as part of a collaboration agreement with ISPRA, the Higher Institute of Health and the Pollution Institute Atmospheric of the CNR, it has the aim of ensuring an effective implementation of the NEC Directive - National Emission Ceilings regarding the reduction of national emissions of some pollutants.

Guaranteeing safety of critical infrastructures of the South through static, seismic and environmental analysis and monitoring tools. This is the objective of the project RAFAEL, funded by the Ministry of University and Research with approximately 9 million euro, comprising ENEA as leader and other 18 partners including research bodies like INGV, universities and inter-university consortia (L'Aquila, Ferrara, Rome Biomedical Campus, CUEIM with the Universities of Salerno and Calabria, MEDISDIH Consortium with the Bari Polytechnic, CREO Consortium), major companies like Telecom, ANAS, E-Distribuzione, GORI Acqua, and innovative SMEs (Himet Srl, Ylichron Srl, G&A Engineering Srl, Geo-K Srl, NUVAP Srl, Tointech Srl). 

Developing innovative models to collect and treatf organic waste in urban centers for an efficient and sustainable management also aimed at the creation of bioproducts with high added value. This is the goal of the EU project BIOCIRCULARCITIES, which involves six European countries with eight partners, including ENEA
